new to the blogroll

Well, Johannesburg has all but shut down, and the galleries (and artists) are all pretty much on holiday until a few weeks into the new year. I’m catching up on personal admin, working on some Compressionist projects (working towards another Outlet solo show of new works, some time in February), writing a collaborative chapter for a Cybercultures book with Nicole Ridgway (the implicit body), launching a new site and reading a whole lot of blogs and news.

So, without further ado, new to the blogroll:

dvBlog: mostly the NYC and rhizomatic net.art scenesters, but featuring some great video art shorts from all over the world. sorenson3 compressed, so small and hi-quality for the video it is.

what am i doing with my life?: marisa olson, rhizome’s editor and curator at large, has a fun blog about her own stuff, and some of the other goings-on in SF and NYC.

art fag city: simply the best and bitchiest blog on the contemporary and digital art-based galleries in chelsea.

justine larbalestier and scott westerfeld blogs: two hot YA (young adult) Fiction (one of my newfound pleasures in life) writers that live between NYC and Sydney. They are friends, so I am biased, but they are super cool and their books are great reads. They have great taste in food, television, literature, etc, and have movies and awards both behind, and coming up, for their books. Keep up to date on all things good in the world by reading their regular rants.
