The big news for X-fans
\nis that there were all kinds of references to The Phoenix. Think Jean Gray is
\ndead @ the end of the film? She burst into flames before being enveloped by water,
\nXavier states that everything "will be OK," and then we see the outline
\nof a bird in the sea with Berre’s voiceover about "the power of mutants"
\nbefore the closing credits. Famke
\nJanssen<\/a> has indeed signed on to do a third film, and mentions The Phoenix
\nhere.<\/a>
\nAlthough I’m still a geek, it’s been a long time since reading the original Phoenix
\nSaga (if I ever read it; hard to remember at this point). The story-line could be spectacular, or terrible; even
\nin the comics, the cloning, "real Jean," "daughter of Jean,"
\n"power of Jean" storyline got quite tired after a while.
