I had a performance with the <a href=\"http:\/\/forgottenangle.org\">FATC<\/a> (hoping to get some picks and press online soon-ish &#8211; the response was overwhelmingly positive!), have my solo at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kknk.co.za\/\">KKNK<\/a> coming up next week, have been working on some stuff for the Grahamstown Festival with Toni Olivier, and am way behind on my grading for teaching&#8230;. Did I also mention that at any given moment, I am working on, like, 80 proposals that will never see the light of day?<\/p>\n<p>[insert over-exaggerated sigh that begs you to love me.] sigh. The artist&#8217;s life [insert big performative hand gestures that pretend to say something but actually say nothing at all]!<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, I&#8217;m emptying out my images from my camera today, and will get to my phone images sometime in the next few days (and we&#8217;ll just forget the shows I&#8217;ve seen that I didn&#8217;t have a camera for at all).<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nathanielstern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/hirschmann.jpg?w=850\" alt='nicebots at wits' \/><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Daniel Hirschmann &#8211; Wits Fine Arts BA and Masters from ITP &#8211; presenting his collaborative <em>nicebots<\/em>, from, well, Nice (France). He showed some great documentation, and talked about his process and technology for making these cute little bots with a whack of personality.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, I&#8217;ll be giving a (as always, free!) presentation on the <em>interactive video landscape<\/em> at the Wits Digital Soiree this Friday, from 3-5 PM. That&#8217;s in the digital convent, across from the school of arts. Be there!<\/p>\n<p>And, trying to stick with brevity here&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nathanielstern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/production.jpg?w=850\" alt='the art of production at franchise' \/><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s one pic of a duo show at <em>Franchise<\/em>, the hot, no-so-new-anymore gallery over at 44 Stanley, Millpark. Admittedly, I didn&#8217;t give the show its entire due on my time. Some of the images were moving and exciting, but I was freaking out about other shit and so only did a quick squizz.
