\nI’m feeling better today, thanks to Dr. Charmers (not a pun; that’s really my
\ndoctor’s – fitting – name!).

\na well-versed, and unfortunately dead-on, article about Bush Jr’s advantages over
\nhis father – why he’ll likely get reelected where daddy failed.
\nHaven’t had a chance to take pix of some great new work from the studio yet, which
\nI am thinking of adding to The
\nBlair Bush Project<\/a>. This week, I hope. You’ll like it.
\nSuper-duper big ups to Howard
\nDean<\/a> this week! I was wondering if he would play up, or play down, his civil
\nunions law (giving the same rights to gay partnerships as straight, married couples
\nin Vermont) in his race for the presidency. This
\narticle<\/a> explains it all – his actions, and responses from most other hopefuls.
\nI’m hoping the gay vote (and usual non-voters who might make it out to the polls
\njust for Dean)<\/a> will balance
\nout the backlash of Republicans’ votes against equal rights. Honestly, I doubt
\nit, but Dean<\/a> moved up
\nyet another notch in my book. Regardless of whether or not they balance, Dean<\/a>
\nhas lately been looked at as someone whose campaign is lost with "Mr. Hussein"
\nnow out of the picture, since his antiwar stance was what put him in the spotlight
\nin the first place. The anniversary of his signing the civil unions law, in direct
\ncontrast to Senator
\nRick Santorum’s recent remarks<\/a> (can you believe<\/i> this guy? What a Neanderthal!),
\nis getting him back in the press. "I want my country back!"
\nJuxtapose something arty here, to contrast with politics.
\nMy take: the only way to beat Bush in the 2004 election is to put him up against
\na solid<\/i> Democrat (Dean,<\/a>
\nEdwards<\/a> or Kucinich).<\/a>
\nThen we’ll get some voters out. The problem: most Dems that go to the primaries,
\nwhich decide which Dem is going to be on the bill, are fairly moderate, and will
\nlikely put a more middle-based Dem against Bush (like Kerry<\/a>
\nor Lieberman).<\/a> Mark my
\nwords, they’re gonna lose. And besides, they suck.
