I couldn’t get my camera to focus on the label, and can’t remember the name of this one, but hey, at least I’m not a paid journalist that is going to lose my job, right?

This is indeed what it seems – a bicycle made of mosquito netting. Her imagery includes normally banal objects related to domesticity, the outdoors, and the city – but they take on new shape and form (especially her metal constructed shower and water wall-piece, near the entrance) in the gallery. A recommended show.

And while you are in the hood, check out the Tracey Rose exhibition at the goodman gallery (art pick from last week). It’s a provocative show of some wonderfully interesting and clever photography (can’t decide how much is done in p-shop, and I like it that way!). Some of her more famous videos are also on display (not doin’ it for me – I think her imagery works better as stills, when leaving more to the imagination), and I should mention, for collectors, that there are lots of red stickers everywhere…. I know that she’s a hot name and all, and it’s kind of nice to go out and see why, without disappointment.

A new show opened at Warren Siebrits last night, and don’t forget that the final negotiate opens at the JAG tomorrow.
