He was more articulate, relaxed, presidential.  However, depending on the writer and paper\/network, they highlight different issues and quotes (duh!). The scary thing is that despite the fact that Kerry has a substantial lead in those who believe he won the debate, and his status went up on most voters&#8217; lists in all kinds of ways, Bush is still leading in the &#8220;who I will vote for&#8221; polls. Some say that this will take a few days to change &#8211; given the obscene budget Republicans have spent on smear campaigns &#8211; others say Kerry has to fair better than Bush in <i>all<\/i> the debates to get the votes he needs, and still others are saying that it&#8217;s too little, too late: Bush is gonna win.<\/p>\n<p>I hope that both latter groups are wrong.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So now, a few hours later, most polls and articles are saying that, hands down, Kerry won the debate over Bush.
