Today, Luana (a dancer\/choreographer that I worked with on the
\ndouble room)<\/b><\/i><\/a> and I had our first meeting about a new performance we
\nwant to propose. The piece, yet to be named, will be primarily slam\/performance
\npoetry and sound effects – no bodies on stage, just suggestions of bodies, using
\nlights, smoke and shadow. There’s a bit more about it on my new
\nproposals<\/a> page. In our discussion, we talked about the feel<\/i> of the piece approaching
\n"sentimental deconstructions" – how’s that for conflicting taste? We’re
\nboth interested in layering sound, poetry & music in ebbs and flows in order
\nto suggest flesh. The light, shadow, etc are to accent this "noise," and not the other
\nway around. I’m really excited about our ideas, and can’t wait to get started.
