Welcome back, nathaniel! Thank you, nathaniel! You are more than welcome.
\n Zanzibar was beautiful. The Spice Tour was great; the beach dreamy; the seafood
\n fantabulous; the shopping fun (and I usually don’t like shopping) and my wife
\n is pretty cool, too.
\n However, I got some stomach bug on the last day, and I am totally grounded here
\n at home in Joburg (trying to empty my inbox). nicole also got some bug (of a different kind) bite
\n that she’s allergic to – there are forces in the world that seem to
\n not want us to go back to work. I just wish they could get us out of labor
\n without making us feel ill, KWIM (Know What I Mean)?
\n A lot has happened in my absence – as usual – and most of which I am unaware
\n of. It’s so nice to not be a solipsist.
\n BIG disappointment to see John Kerry take Iowa, and only have Howard Dean in
\n third. Personally, I don’t think Kerry stands a chance against Bush, and moreover,
\n I don’t like him that much.
\n Ars Electronica<\/a> has
\n opened its doors to a new competition year, and Turbulence<\/a>
\n also has a great new net.art proposal competition (for a nice li’l commission
\n of $5000) – yummy.
\n Sam Stern, the good child of my parents (Jeanette & Phil Stern), is also
\n feeling ill this week – so we wish her all the best here in webland, don’t we?
\n Please also give crazy e-shouts to Jen Wandy on the Shaolin, kicking mad bacteria,
\n in a fight for health. Word.
\n The RRF 2004<\/a> site
\n is up – tho the official launch is on 18 February – and I look forward to seeing
\n hektor’s<\/a> contemporaries.
