I had a great meeting with 3 peops over at the Johannesburg Art Gallery yesterday;
\nseems like I will be having my first solo show in downtown Jozi sometime in the
\nlate third or early fourth quarter of next year! They were really interested in
\nthe odys series<\/a> <\/em>(to
\nbe completed), odys, Nathaniel,
\nhektor, x,<\/a><\/em> and my idea of making a new, site-specific interactive installation.
\nGiven that they were keen on the two former, I think the latter should be a hektor<\/em><\/a>
\npiece, and I might also recommend my completing and showing the whole series of
\n [hektor:] abstract machines
\nof faciality<\/em><\/a> – along with the original pinhole photographs, thus making
\na completely non-aggressive narrative
\n(NAN)<\/a><\/em> show. The working title, for now, is The Storyteller<\/em> –
\ntaken from my favorite Walter Benjamin paper.<\/p>\n

Speaking of exhibitions, it also looks like I will be having a "duo"
\nshow with Marcus Neustetter<\/a>
\n(of The
\nTrinity Session<\/a> fame) at ArtSpace in May, 2004. The working title is The
\ngetAway Experiment,<\/em> and on my end, it will mostly be pieces from serial
\nfaces.<\/em><\/a> Marcus<\/a> will
\nbe making work that similarly explores giving physicality to the digital, and
\nwe think we may try a short residency of collaboration for the rest of the experiment\/show. <\/p>\n

Oh, and our home is finally finished and we can unpack. Rock. I wonder how Jen
