{"id":1589,"date":"2008-02-09T15:31:20","date_gmt":"2008-02-09T13:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nathanielstern.com\/blog\/2008\/02\/09\/lightwave-2008\/"},"modified":"2008-02-09T15:34:48","modified_gmt":"2008-02-09T13:34:48","slug":"lightwave-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nathanielstern.com\/blog\/2008\/02\/09\/lightwave-2008\/","title":{"rendered":"Lightwave 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nathanielstern.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/lovid.jpg?w=850\" alt=\"lovid.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><small><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lovid.org\/\">LoVid<\/a> gives one of their Hand-Cranked Luminescent Jewelery workshops <\/small><\/p>\n<p>Dublin&#8217;s new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencegallery.ie\">Science Gallery<\/a> kicked off with HUGE crowds last Friday, and hosted international stars (and a few newcomers) of the media art scene, including the likes of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lovid.org\/\">LoVid<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/graffitiresearchlab.com\/\">Graffiti Research Lab<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.portablepalace.com\">portable palace<\/a> and many others (these are just the ones I saw speak at <a href=\"http:\/\/data.ie\/\">DATA<\/a> and\/or hung out with in my free time and while I was showing some of my <a href=\"http:\/\/nathanielstern.com\/art\/compressionism\/\">Compressionist<\/a> prints).<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been to enough of these kinds of events\/festivals\/exhibitions to be able to call this one a resounding success, and I&#8217;m looking forward to some of the ideas I&#8217;ve already heard spinning about for next year.
