I wanted to give something that was fitting and South African, so I went back into my archives and pulled up the performance poem I originally wrote for <a href=\"http:\/\/nathanielstern.com\/works\/performance\/double-room.html\"><em>The Double Room<\/em><\/a>, a multimedia piece about the discourse surrounding HIV, which premiered in Joburg in 2001, and subsequently won 3 FNB Vita awards. I&#8217;d never recorded it, so had to brush up a bit, but went ahead and made mp3&#8217;s of both the long version of the poem (<a href=\"http:\/\/nathanielstern.com\/works\/performance\/the_un-pronounce-able.mp3\">the un-pronounce-able<\/a>, 9:42) and a shorter version I edited down for use in the 2002 US National Poetry Slam competition, with Team Ithaca (<a href=\"http:\/\/nathanielstern.com\/works\/performance\/the_story.mp3\">the story<\/a>, 3:16).
