Thanks to the 24.7
\nartist residency,<\/a> I’ve hooked up with the "not so enigmatic but undoubtedly
\ntalented" Wayne Barker this week. If you are unfamiliar with his work, his
\nbackground features some very famous paintings, from the end of the apartheid
\nera in SA, worth looking into. This
\nperformance piece<\/a> is one Wayne did in London (not sure when), which he is
\nlooking to carry on exploring with. The updated collaborative performance will
\nfeature South African dancer Nelly (I never did<\/em> get her last name) and
\nmyself (with some new software, of course featuring text and the body). Work on
\nit will begin tomorrow, and a test run will happen at the JAG – Johannesburg Art
\nGallery – one week from this Saturday. Not that I have time to do this right now,
\nbut Wayne and PJ (FATC<\/a>
\n– Forgotten Angle Theatre Collaborative – also working on a piece with them now)
\nhave to be two of the most exciting people I’ve ever been lucky enough to work
\nwith, so how could I say no?
