Woohoo!<br \/>\nFrom my better half, I got some cozy slippers (wearing them now), a beautiful<br \/>\npair of dark brown corduroys (perfect fit &#8211; also wearing) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0747564329\/qid=1054794555\/sr=1-10\/ref=sr_1_10\/103-8352144-8544665?v=glance&#038;s=books\" target=\"_blank\">the<br \/>\nlatest Barbara Trapido novel<\/a> (one of my favorite authors; oddly, even though<br \/>\nshe is South African and it is her first novel about South Africa &#8211; she now lives<br \/>\nin Oxford &#8211; Nicole had to special order it from overseas. It&#8217;s not yet out here.).<br \/>\nTo appease my children&#8217;s book fetish (have I mentioned I started writing one,<br \/>\nmyself, a few weeks ago? It&#8217;s fun :), my sister has sent me the new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0786819146\/qid=1054794745\/sr=2-1\/ref=sr_2_1\/103-8352144-8544665\" target=\"_blank\">Artemis<br \/>\nFowl book<\/a> (not here yet) and my parents have given me some cash &quot;specifically<br \/>\nfor buying <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/043935806X\/qid=1054794838\/sr=2-1\/ref=sr_2_1\/103-8352144-8544665\" target=\"_blank\">Harry<br \/>\nPotter &amp; the Order of the Phoenix,<\/a> when it comes out on June 21st.&quot;<br \/>\nAnd of course Hillary Clinton decided to release <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/front\/story\/89421p-81345c.html\" target=\"_blank\">her<br \/>\nnew book<\/a> just around birthday time; little does she know that I will not be<br \/>\npurchasing it, despite its appeal to children &#8211; Republicans, Democrats &amp; Independents,<br \/>\nalike.<br \/>\nNo one has bought me a new Mac, so you may still do so (mailing address available<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:me@nathanielstern.com?subject=your%20new%20computer&#038;body=Mr.%20Stern,%20I%27ve%20bought%20you%20a%20new,%20top%20of%20the%20line%20Apple%20computer%20for%20your%20birthday.%20Please%20tell%20me%20where%20to%20send%20it...\">on<br \/>\nrequest).<\/a><br \/>\nSpeaking of Harry Potter, I stumbled on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0415933749\/qid=1054794838\/sr=5-1\/ref=cm_lm_asin\/103-8352144-8544665?v=glance\" target=\"_blank\">this<br \/>\nbook<\/a> today, while surfing. YAY! A justification for me to read the books (like<br \/>\nI need one)! Anywho, it&#8217;ll hopefully make it to SA soon enough. It&#8217;d be a great<br \/>\nresource for my own writing endeavors.<br \/>\nHoping to go to the studio for a few hours today, to work on <em>To Sir, With<br \/>\nLove,<\/em> part of <em><a href=\"\/gallery\/serial-faces.html\" target=\"_top\">serial<br \/>\nfaces.<\/a><\/em> I&#8217;m still feeling a little sickly (I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve mentioned<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve been sick over the past week or so), but other than that, it&#8217;s already been<br \/>\na fab day &#8211; and it&#8217;s still early!<br \/>\n&quot;You say it&#8217;s your birthday!&quot; (Do do do do do doooo, do do!)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s my birthday today!!!
