it’s a reblog kind of day

I’ve been pretty good lately about trying to put ‘new things’ on my blog, and stick to the SA art scene, but it’s just one of those days where I’ve already found heaps of great links, and I’ll burst if I don’t share them. I’ll see if I can’t get to some more locally orientated stuff a bit later in the day.

Marulelo Times: a list of all the finalists in the Brett Kebble Art Awards. Some VERY impressive names, including artists that are well known abroad, but rarely seen in their home country of South Africa (thanks to franci cronje for the link)

NEWSgrist: Rage Against The Machines: a fantastic re-post questioning the efficacy of mass demonstrations in days when they seem all but ignored.

Spymac: one of many beautiful potential iMac G5 designs by Carlos Agell

Mactimes | Mactime.RU: some hilarious visual puns of Mac Ads

textually.org: SMS and Literature: some great posts about literature and messaging, including cell phone novels and short-hand (thanks to jo-anne green for the link).

Philip K. Dick – How To Build A Universe That Doesn’t Fall Apart Two Days Later (Essay)
