kebble, etc

Above: Clive Van den Berg, artist, and curator of the Brett Kebble Art Awards, standing in front of his own work, at his home studio. What a beautiful spot this is! He and his partner have fixed it up over the past three years, as well as building additional spaces to make music and art in.

We were meeting about my piece for the exhibition this year, step inside. But my real point of all this is that, basically, as I’ve said before, the Kebbles are dreamy. Clive is seeing to everyone’s work personally – they are building spaces, renting or buying equipment, the works! How much do we love this? Every now and again, artists need to be treated like rock stars; lacking that, giving us the facilities we need to continue being in the public service is not so bad neither ;)

In other news, outfoxed is making a bit of a splash in theatres in the states, and I’m sad to be missing it. Anyone know if this film will be making it to South Africa, and if so, when?
