On a quick search to see who shared a birthday with me, the first name to come up was Kenny G – am I the only one who sees this as a bad omen?
Last night, Kupfer (whose blog seems to be updated nearly as often as I have a birthday) did some magic tricks for me at the PG club – I, of course, was utterly thrilled. I’m like a little kid in how much I love that stuff, but without any desire to learn how it’s done. He even gave me a small trick of my own as a gift.
Nicky got me a great book on contemporary narrative theory (YAY!), and a fleece robe (I’m always cold). My mom-in-law got me a computer thriller called Firewall, as I’m on a big thriller kick lately. Fitting.
I’m hoping that the generous gifts my family usually shower on me may provide something viable towards buying a new iBook!
I do not feel any older, but am happy to celebrate life. I’ve been feeling a little exhausted lately, and am hoping that my upcoming trip will prove inspirational, beyond that end. When I’m tired, I get down – it’s just not part of my being to stop moving, I think.
Anybody wanna hang out in NYC, Ithaca, Cuba or Dublin in the next while?
