nat stern

This may seem like a weird blog, but I am having a weird day. Every now and again, I get googled under "nat stern" instead of "nathaniel stern." This was the nick-name I went under from birth through college, and my family & close friends still call me "nat" (yes, you may call me by this name, if you wish; I’ve nothing against it at all – was just tired of saying "Nat, not Matt," when meeting new people, and then kinda got used to my given name as it took hold).

(Oh, and note that those nat stern links go back to the front of my site.) Anyhow, it seems that most of the people finding me under nat stern on google have a hard time believing that we are one and the same. They often email me asking if it "could be?" or else just skip that part and ask if I have any idea how to find the "real" Nat Stern, from the Shaolin, not Johannesburg. Nat Stern, I am; I like eggs (though not green, nor ham). I used to live on Staten Island and I went to SI Tech there. I was in that weird ska-punk band.

Yes, that was me. I used to make clothes and probably did not shower enough. I most likely never dated your sister, brother, or you. In college (Cornell), I was in yet another band (ska-reggae-jazz-pop), showered a bit more, probably had too much of an ego, was quite the activist. Now, look around over here (pointing at site) – that’s more or less what I do now. Hope you like it :)

Sigh. Truth be told, I probably wouldn’t believe me either…
