Eww. I start to miss all those babes that you took photos of,I even miss the mighty Zork.
Strange area where you live.
i live in westdene, johannesburg. i walk the streets of westdene, brixton, melville and triomf – and sometimes the inner city. my photographs document what i see, what’s there. yes, there are babes but there is also death. it’s an indictment of this city’s sanitation department that i come across so many dead bodies on the streets. there is much worse, but i don’t believe in putting thos photos up on a publicly accessible site. the most shocking aspect of the daily walk is discovering how many open manholes there are. these manhole covers have been stolen by , presumably, the poor, in order to sell to scrap metal merchants. the empty holes are extremely dangerous, especially if one walks at night (a situation which is exacerbated by the frequent power cuts that Johannesburg suffers).
Also human bodies?? I like the explanation,it makes much more sense to see the story unravel itself from the eye of the artist..Much more then the lame sarcastic comments of spectators like myself..Sorry
Motherearth there is no greater compliment to an artist than that the work prompted you to respond in some way. For that I am deeply appreciative. Thank you. When the “dead cycle” comes to a close I will return to the babes, and maybe even to that dishy Zork! (just for you!).
the world is much more than just babes, sex, alcohol and death
the above mentioned is not the worse
plus: maybe it’s time for you both to meet
Yes I am very afraid of death. Or Azrael as the angel of death is also called. I did had some paranormal experiences ,seeing, feeling spirits..But the idea of death coming and experiencing it yourself. Brrrr.
Meeting Kaganof is not an option. I marvel at his work, that is enough for me.
never be afraid. it weakens you. fear of death is fear of possibilities. seeing, feeling spirits is just an everyday sensitivity. and you’ll get used to those experiences. but when you start fearing that opened door, that’s where the troubles start. face your fears. facing them is one way of getting to know yourself. i’ve looked death in the face. many times. it’s nothing to be afraid of. when something bad happens to you, just relax. let the tide take you where you have to go. death is just a passing to other dimension.
as for Kaganof: meeting the work of an artist is also meeting, breathing in, smelling of the person himself. but if it’s just the fear of the unknown that stops you from meeting him, then you should think again.
good luck! i’ll think of you, Mother Earth. don’t be afraid of anything. don’t avoid fear of looking inwards, of making friends with yourself. seek solitude, sanctuary.
Not to burst out, but I do believe what you are looking at in that picture is a wolf, not some dog. Also about the death thing, death is just a part of life, the more you fear it, the weaker you’ll feel when you have to face death, I stared into the eyes of a girl as she was being ran over by a stock trailer being pulled by a tractor. Her eyes had no life in them, and they we’re pure white as if the life was being slowly sucked out of her. She was eight years old, and this happened at a spoke walk are school had celebrating Hallowen. It was very sad, but the wrost part was the girls head was never ran over by the tire, it got stuck, and she was drug on the ground for 10 yards after the guy on the tractor finally relized she had fallen off, and was under the trailor.
