LOMO show at photoza

Above is a pic from Kathryn Smith’s evil twin dyptich, at the photoza group exhibition of lomo photography. Nice show, and the highlight is probably stephen hobbs’ work, which makes a small sculpture that feels as if it were moving, out of street scene snaps.
Also opened yesterday in Johannesburg (admittedly, I didn’t make it to either of these, but I heard very good things, and will surely get to them in the next week or so):
Peter Schutz at the goodman gallery and Negotiate, at the Johannesburg Art Gallery. The latter of these simply invites young, emerging artists to change, intervene, and speak back to other exhibitions currently at the JAG. I’m curious to see what choices they make.
