CNN.com - Does PowerPoint make us stupid? (David Byrne on the app)
Dean Labels Bush ‘Reckless’ (my fave of the batch)
New York Daily News - Politics - Dean’s list of detractors (granted, Dean has to work on shooting off his mouth too quickly if he doesn’t want to get slammed in debate; but, is it me, or are these quotes, even out of context, not too bad? Also of note: he NEEDS the south, and better get Clark on as his VP)
Rumbling on the hard-line right (this is the first I’m hearing of conservatives being hard on Bush, and it just warms my heart…)
Dean Outlines His Plans for Cities (outstanding!)

The wife and I have been renting the first two seasons of the West Wing lately, and I so wish it were real. The world could do with a little Jeb B. Maybe Sorkin (the script writer) will run for office one day?
I’m a little hungry…

Administration Is Exempting Alaska Forest From Protection. WTF!!??

And here’s one for the fast food nation: Immigration Reform on Bush Agenda. So now, the meat industry can even more easily con foreigners into taking dangerous jobs with low pay and no insurance. AWESOME! Go Bush! And it is even all web-based, so working conditions need not be checked!

sigh.

Here’s a poll on a mucho-conservative site, trying to oppose gay marriage. A bunch of friends have been emailing around, and managed to flip the tide. By all means, continue on our quest :) Thanks to Sasha for the link.

UCLA’s Department of World Arts and Cultures is producing "Extensions: The Online Journal for Embodied Technology", which should be live sometime in the next month or so. They will be featuring some footage of stuttering, and who knows what else, so keep an eye out.
Whilst spying their site (very interesting), I also stumbled on the work of Norah Zuniga Shaw. Take a peak at "these stories of in-between" to see some impressive explorations of storytelling - wish I could have seen it live.
Merry holidays to all. Would you believe I have been taking some time off? I haven’t
even been surfing much! I did, however, take some time out from my time out to
start producing some work for my shows lined up next year. Two new serial
faces
are nearing completion, and I’ve begun brainstorming a new hektor
installation for the Johannesburg Art Gallery (which I will also, likely, submit
to the Brett Kebble Art Awards,
2004).
Another ArtThrob mention on their 2003
in review (Project)
page. According to their site, ArtThrob will have a New
Media dedicated writer in the new year.
