Didn’t know it, but I guess more people notice my work than I think…Sue Williamson’s Diary says she thought that stuttering was going to take New Media at the Kebbles.
I will really kill someone (contractor?) if they are not done renovating my apartment soon.
I got a hair cut yesterday, and I feel about 10 pounds lighter… That’s what happens when you can’t trim your beard for a month (couldn’t unpack in this mess of a flat)
Construction people literally just arrived, and my stomach is lurching. Not to sound whiney, but i just want to make art…

Whitney Museum of American Art announces artists in its 2004 Biennial. Looks like a pretty decent show, with the usual suspects (and a few newbies that should’ve been selected years ago). I didn’t even get a rejection letter, dammit :(

As a former (and therefore always - it’s where I was born) Staten Islander, this story really scares and moves me. I can’t believe it’s evaded me for 10 days, and my heart goes out to all of the families the tragedy touched.
DOT Announced Ferry Safety Improvements, linked from the SI Ferry site, which states, "The New York City Department of Transportation extends its deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims involved in the tragic Staten Island Ferry accident on October 15, 2003"
And here come the lawsuits…

And in other news, I need a home (or someone who actually cares to fix mine when I pay them to do so). Anyone know of any contractors, in the Joburg area, that specialize in fixing up other people’s screw-ups, and’ll do it for the balance of the budget I still owe the original peeps? Sigh…
