Oooh. But then I found this. It’s a letter from Michael Moore, urging Clark to run, before he announced his candidacy (about a week ago). If you don’t know Mr. Moore, read this post, or his book Stupid White Men, or if you are not a big reader, see one of his movies, Bowling for Columbine or Roger and Me.

Finally, someone makes some kind of statement about the DMCA. I know I’ve been leaning towards Clark, but I have no problems teatering back over to the Dean side of the fence. Wired to Wired: Dean and Lessig

From THE THING (sad day for digital art, or happy day for non-paying art-lovers online?):

Sources indicate that the ‘zome (rhizome.org)
officially dissolved its Board of Directors on Tuesday, the 16th of September.
An entity with many of its functions will be reconstituted at the New Museum, where
Mark Tribe & some other principals will join the NuMu’s board &/or become
trustees.

Rachel Greene is slated to direct this new organization.

It’s not been spelled out but is surmised that this entity will assume full responsibility for the maintenance of
Rhizome’s Art Base archive.
