mooimark show

Been a few days since I last posted…
The Mooimark show, put on by Berlin curator Spunk Seipel, was last night in Johannesburg
and it went down very well. Some very interesting work, and a great crowd. Christian
and I are now hoping to possibly use the CITY+SUBURBAN space, as well many of
the old vacant buildings downtown, to throw regular art parties every other month
or so.
The war carries on, and so must The
Blair Bush Project.
We’re hoping to do a shoot at the UK consulate some time
this week. Due to prepping for the show last night, we missed a great opportunity
for footage at the protest downtown on Friday, but we’re confident that there’s
lots more where that came from…
Had a nice chat with my buddy Jonah
in Dublin yesterday, and I’m looking forward to seeing some of his writing - very
smart guy. You should look forward to it, too :)
My South African permanent residence came through this week! This means I can
come and go to/from the country as I please, and that I can legally work. Just
in time, too, as I will be starting to lecture in the new Digital Media MA program
at Wits School of the Arts
next week! What a perfect time to gain resident status somewhere other than the
US.
