net.art: online interventions

It was just decided that next academic year, the "Developing
an Online Identity"
course I teach for MCAD
online (the Minneapolis College
of Art and Design)
will be split in two - one class focusing on web portfolio
development, the other on net.art. I’m really excited about this latter class,
and thought I would post some new discoveries to the board (other than the obvious
sites, like Rhizome; oops.
did I just mention them anyway? Well, just one is ok, I guess…) Curt
Cloninger’s stunning new class
for one, Net.Art
in Depth
(scroll down towards the bottom, as there is no anchor) @ the New
School
and strangefruits
"online art hopping" are all new to me, and have some great ideas, art
and readings. Also of note is this
William Gibson piece
that one of my students in the current class pointed
out. Enjoy!
